Broken Ceramic and Mixed Media Sculpture created referencing traditional Japanese Kintsugi restoration practices. This piece is bound using a two-part epoxy and finished with a water resistant golden leafing paint. The interior is sealed with a rubber adhesive and holes have been bore through the bottom to allow for ventilation and draining. This work is part four of ceramic collage series meant to explore the idea of recycling or repurposing scrap material in an effort to continue to life span of a vessel without trying it hide its inherent flaws.
