Broken Ceramic and Mixed Media Sculpture created referencing traditional Japanese Kintsugi restoration practices. This piece is bound using a two-part epoxy and finished with a water resistant golden leafing paint. The interior is sealed with a rubber adhesive and holes have been bore through the bottom to allow for ventilation and draining. This work is part one of a ceramic collage series meant to explore the idea of recycling or repurposing scrap material in an effort to continue to life span of a vessel without trying it hide its inherent flaws.
